What Turnkey Really Means

Turnkey means we take a project from concept to completion without handing off responsibility. You describe the problem—we solve it. You don't manage a fabricator, a rigger, an engineer, and a delivery company. You manage one relationship: ours. When the project is done, you turn the key and everything works.

Most industrial projects require coordination between multiple vendors. A fabricator builds it, a transport company moves it, a rigging company installs it. Each handoff creates risk—miscommunication, scheduling gaps, accountability disputes when things don't fit. Alpha Rigging & Fabrication eliminates every one of those handoffs.

Build It. Rig It. Install It.

We are Washington State's only company that fabricates custom steel AND installs it with our own OSHA-certified rigging crews. Our fabricators design with installation in mind. Our riggers know exactly how each piece was built. The result is faster installation, better fit, and a finished product that performs as designed—from day one.

Types of Turnkey Projects We Deliver

Industrial Platform & Mezzanine Systems

Complete elevated work platforms—designed for your specific loads and layout, fabricated in our shop, delivered to your facility, and installed by our rigging crew. We handle everything from the structural engineering through the final safety inspection. Platforms arrive in sections sized for your building's access points, go together as designed, and are ready for use without the typical coordination headaches.

Equipment Relocation & Reinstallation

Moving machinery is more than picking it up and setting it down. We disconnect, rig, transport, reinstall, level, align, and recommission production equipment with the understanding of both the rigging and the precision required for proper function. When the equipment goes back down, it's ready to run.

Structural Steel Installation

Columns, beams, platforms, and structural frameworks—fabricated to your engineer's plans or ours, delivered, rigged into position, and welded or bolted up by the same team that built them. No scheduling gap between when the steel arrives and when the rigging crew shows up. We're the same people.

Plant Expansion Support

Adding capacity to an existing facility requires coordination that most single-trade contractors can't provide. We assess the existing structure, design new components that integrate seamlessly, fabricate the new steel, and install it around your ongoing production schedule. Shutdowns are planned, minimized, and executed with precision.

Custom Industrial Installations

If you have a project that doesn't fit a standard category, that's exactly the kind of work we do best. Our team brings engineering, fabrication, and rigging expertise together to solve industrial problems that require creative solutions. Describe what you need accomplished—we'll design and execute the solution.

The Turnkey Project Process

Step 1: Project Discovery & Scope Definition

We visit your facility, review your existing conditions, and thoroughly understand your objectives. This discovery phase produces a clear project scope that eliminates surprises downstream.

Step 2: Engineering & Design

Our design team develops a solution using CAD software with detailed drawings for your review. Shop drawings are submitted for your approval before fabrication begins—you know exactly what you're getting before a single piece of steel is cut.

Step 3: Detailed Proposal & Schedule

You receive a complete written proposal covering all costs: engineering, materials, fabrication labor, delivery, rigging, and installation. Fixed price for a defined scope, with a realistic project schedule so you can plan around our work.

Step 4: Fabrication

Material is procured and certified, cut to dimension, fitted, and welded by AWS-certified welders using qualified procedures. Fabrication is inspected against drawings at multiple stages. You receive progress updates at agreed milestones.

Step 5: Delivery & Site Coordination

Before delivery, we confirm site readiness and coordinate with your facility team to stage materials optimally and schedule installation to minimize production impact. Surprises on delivery day are eliminated by thorough pre-delivery planning.

Step 6: Installation & Commissioning

Our rigging crew arrives with the right equipment for your project. Because our riggers know the fabrication inside out, fit-up is precise and efficient. When installation is complete, we walk the project with you and confirm the work meets your requirements.

Why One Vendor Is Better

No Accountability Gaps

When a fabricator blames the rigging company and the rigging company blames the fabricator, you're stuck in the middle. With Alpha Rigging & Fabrication, there is no middle. We own the entire project outcome—no exceptions.

Faster Project Completion

Coordination between multiple vendors adds weeks to projects. Our fabrication and rigging teams plan together—when the steel is ready, the crew is ready. Projects finish faster because there are no handoff delays.

Better Design for Installation

When the people who design and build something also install it, the design is better. Our fabricators have been on the rigging crew. Our riggers have been in the shop. They know what makes installation difficult and design it out from the start.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How do turnkey projects differ from hiring you for rigging or fabrication separately?

A: Turnkey projects involve us from design through installation under a single contract. We eliminate the handoff inefficiencies between phases, resulting in faster delivery and lower total cost. You manage one relationship instead of coordinating multiple vendors.

Q: Can you work from our engineer's drawings?

A: Absolutely. We frequently build from customer-supplied engineering drawings, and we can also design from scratch. If you have a structural engineer you work with, we're happy to coordinate with them as the fabricator and installer.

Q: How do you handle projects while our facility stays operational?

A: Phased installation around production schedules is a specialty. We plan with your operations team to minimize disruption—staging work during planned downtime, isolating construction areas from production, and scheduling intrusive work for off-hours when needed.

Q: Do you provide a fixed price or time-and-material billing?

A: We provide fixed-price proposals for defined scopes whenever possible. Fixed price gives you budget certainty and aligns our incentives with project efficiency. Time-and-material is available for exploratory work or projects with incomplete scope definition.
